Technical Details

Pinot Grigio is without doubt one of Italy’s favourite wines. It is great with softly flavoured foods or on its own. A lovely, soft almost sappy fruit flavour on the nose is backed up by a mouth-filling texture on the palate. In the mouth this white wine is a powerful with a nice freshness.

The Estate

The Prendena farm stands on the Mantuan hills of the morainic amphitheater near the southern shores of Lake Garda. The company was purchased in 1958 by the Piona family. The Bordeaux red berried vines, such as Merlot and Cabernet, have always been the protagonists in the region and two reserves named Falcone and Faial are born from these varieties.

Wine Making

From a single vineyard, Vigneto Casina, in the La Prendina estate in Mozambano, near Lake Garda. Pinot Grigio is undoubtedly Italys most fashionable grape variety and rightly so. Its favourite home is in northeast Italy and this example comes from vineyards nestling in the undulating landscape due south of Lake Garda
