Domaine de Guillaman

About Domaine de Guillaman

Domaine de Guillaman is a sixth generation family-owned wine estate in Gascony, south-west France. Dominique Ferret took over the estate from his grandfather, Albert, and took the family business away from the traditional production of Armagnac to the production of high quality table wines under the Côtes de Gascogne IGP.

As well as extensive replanting of vineyards and a newly renovated winery, Dominique and wife Stéphanie set about ensuring environmental sustainability was at the core of the modern family operation. The estate was awarded France’s HVE (high environmental value) level 3 certification in 2017, the highest level of environmental husbandry including the protection of biodiversity, use of natural pest controls and the conservation of water resources.

The recently extended 125 hectares of vineyards are planted with 80% white varietals, including Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng. The balance of 20% is predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the production of red and rosé wines.
