Located in the heart of Italy’s Alto Adige region, the Peter Zemmer Estate was founded in 1928 and is still family-run in the third generation. The estate’s vineyards span an impressive altitude range—from approximately 220 m to 1,030 m above sea level—giving the winery access to a wide variety of microclimates and soil types. Sustainability is an integral pillar of the operation: the winery is powered entirely by renewable energy and aims to manage its vineyards with minimal intervention and respect for nature.
The focus of the Peter Zemmer portfolio is on terroir-driven, elegant wines—especially white wines made from Burgundian varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Among its standout offerings is the Pinot Grigio Riserva Giatl, the first and only Riserva of this variety in Alto Adige, and the Chardonnay Riserva Vigna Crivelli, both designed to express the distinctive soils and climatic conditions of their single-vineyard sites. In the red-wine arena, the winery is also gaining acclaim—particularly for the Pinot Noir Riserva Vigna Kofl, grown on the highest vineyard at around 1,030 m, where cooler temperatures and steep slopes contribute to a refined and structured expression.
