Richer, deeper aromas: dark caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, maybe some baking spice, possibly dried fruit or chocolate depending on barrel type. Longer finish, rounder, smoother mouthfeel, more depth. Agave less upfront, more harmonized with aging.
Aged for a minimum of a year to create a stronger wood influence.
Best sipped neat or with a single big ice cube. Good after-dinner tequila. Pairs nicely with smoky or rich dishes, grilled steak, dark chocolate, desserts with caramel/vanilla.
