With nearly 30 years of experience in the wine industry, Scott Petersen has dedicated his career to helping retailers and restaurateurs discover wines that delight their customers and strengthen their businesses. His journey began on the front lines of the industry, working in retail, restaurants, and wholesale, where he developed the belief that great wine is about more than what’s in the bottle—it’s about understanding people, building relationships, and creating memorable experiences.
Early in his career, Scott worked alongside former New York Times wine critic Terry Robards at his fine wine shop in Lake Placid while serving as sommelier at a neighboring Relais & Châteaux resort. He later held positions with respected New York wine wholesalers, including C. Daniele & Co., Winebow, Château & Estate, and Doug Polaner Selections, where he cultivated a passion for representing small-production, artisan wineries before launching his own business in Massachusetts. When he returned to New York, Scott joined Weygandt Selections, continuing to champion artisan producers, before later joining Republic National Distributing Company, where he gained valuable experience working with many internationally recognized brands.
Today, Scott partners with retailers and restaurateurs to develop distinctive wine programs that reflect their vision and resonate with their customers. He believes the strongest business relationships are built on trust, flexibility, and shared success, and takes pride in serving as a knowledgeable, responsive resource for every client he works with.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing throughout the Adirondacks and beyond. He also enjoys cooking, sharing meals with friends and neighbors, and creating artwork inspired by the natural landscapes he loves.
