Technical Details
Vintage Description

Aromas of lychee, rose petal, white peach, and orange blossom leap from the glass with remarkable intensity. The palate reveals flavors of apricot, tropical fruit, honeydew melon, and citrus zest. Light to medium-bodied with bright acidity, the wine balances its expressive aromatics with freshness and precision. A delicate touch of natural sweetness enhances the fruit profile without becoming heavy. The finish is vibrant, floral, and lingering with notes of exotic fruit and citrus.

Bukettraube grape blend.

The Estate

Cederberg Wines is a historic family-owned estate nestled in the remote Cederberg Mountains of South Africa’s Western Cape. The Nieuwoudt family has farmed the property for five generations, and the estate is renowned for producing distinctive wines from high-altitude vineyards. Cederberg has become particularly well known for preserving and championing unique varieties such as Bukettraube, a rare crossing of Silvaner and Schiava Grossa that thrives in the estate’s cool mountain climate.

Wine Making

Fruit is harvested from estate vineyards situated at elevations exceeding 3,000 feet above sea level, where cool nights help preserve acidity and aromatic complexity. Fermentation takes place under carefully controlled temperatures to retain the grape’s intensely perfumed character. The wine is produced in a fresh, fruit-driven style that highlights varietal expression rather than oak influence. Minimal intervention allows the unique personality of Bukettraube to shine through.

Food Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with Thai cuisine, mildly spicy curries, and aromatic Asian dishes. It also complements fruit-based salads, soft cheeses, and lighter desserts featuring stone fruit or citrus. The wine’s floral aromatics and refreshing acidity make it an excellent aperitif as well.
