In the glass, the wine has a deep cherry color with purple reflections. The first impression on the nose is surprisingly rich, combined with finesse and complexity. It offers notes of sandalwood, cold smoke, curry and leather. You can also smell the pronounced notes of violets, gooseberry, ripe red fruit and notes of Jamaican pepper. The taste is balanced with silky tannins paired with spicy notes, bitter almonds, black cherries and quince. In the long finish you can taste red fruit and cinnamon.

The Estate

Located in the West Bekaa Valley, the large estate of Château Kefraya has been the Bustros family’s property for generations.The castle is built starting 1946 on an artificial hill used by the Romans centuries ago to observe their troop movements.

Wine Making

These are wines that belong to three unique cuvees in the collection of Chateau Kefraya. Over the years, this winery has adopted a number of special production methods. The wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Syrah, Cinsaut and Carignan varieties. What makes this wine unique is the fact that the wine was made in clay pots.
