Aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and dried fig are layered with notes of cedar, tobacco, and vanilla. The palate shows rich dark fruit balanced by savory spice and subtle oak complexity. Medium to full-bodied with refined acidity, the wine remains fresh and structured. Smooth, integrated tannins create a polished texture. The finish is long and elegant with lingering spice and dried fruit tones.
Contino Reserva represents the flagship expression of the estate’s classic Rioja style. Produced exclusively from estate vineyards, it reflects decades of expertise and careful vineyard management. The wine showcases Rioja Alavesa’s balance of structure, freshness, and aging potential.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with careful temperature control. The wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for approximately 18–24 months. Additional bottle aging enhances integration and complexity before release. The approach follows traditional Rioja Reserva requirements while maintaining modern precision.
Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled beef, or slow-cooked stews. It also complements aged cheeses and traditional Spanish cuisine such as braised meats and hearty casseroles.
