The Estate

Contino, the first Rioja château 1973, impelled by CVNE and the owners of the 62-hectare property located in the Rioja Alavesa.

Wine Making

Contino Rioja Viña del Olivio is a great wine made from a small parcel of old Tempranillo and Graciano vines that surround an 800 year old olive tree on the Contino Estate. The wine is aged for 17 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, each adding complexity and its own nuance to the wine.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with tomato based dishes such as pizza and lasagna.
