Intense nose, tight yet bursting with citrus and hints of white flower. The palate has an extraordinary ripeness almost leading to some spicy, exotic fruit notes and impressive structure. Lovely balance and poise with energy and mineral vivacity. Very good length of flavor.
The vineyards here surround the eponymous town, which sits atop a bean-shaped hill overlooking the river Loire. It is only since the mid-20th Century, and the creation of a protected Sancerre appellation, that “Sancerre” has been so strongly associated with white wines.
In the CROCHET family, we have cultivated the hills of Bué since the 16th century. We are born and we die as winegrowers. Jean-Marc joined his father in 1980, then Mathieu followed in 2007.
