Tasting Notes
Technical Details

The nose of focused and driven dark red and black fruits is made complex and intriguing by an overlay of earth and herbs – think tilled soil and wet, leafless wintertime trees with a sprinkle of freshly torn tobacco, pinched camphor leaves and Tellicherry peppercorns. The crystalline and concentrated palate of ripe cherries and bursting black raspberries cascades along a chiseled path of fine granulated tannins given texture and touch by notes of espresso, cocoa nibs and hazelnut butter.

Cabernet Sauvignon grape blend.
This wine contains allergens, sulfites.

The Estate

“Great wines for great causes” has been an important motto of our business and personal lives. Since we began farming our vineyard in 1985, we have donated and raised more than $800 million to support charities, including our main cause, the Music Festival for Brain Health.

Wine Making

From a winter and early spring that were appropriately cold and wet to an abundantly warm and sunny April followed by the near historically rainy May, the season certainly felt a bit like a rollercoaster.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, venison, mature and hard cheese, and poultry dishes.
