Esser Vineyards Pinot Noir has bright aromas of bing cherries with subtle notes of cola, tobacco and oak. It is delicate and velvety in the mouth, with crisp flavors of strawberry, cherry, vanilla and clove, followed by a smooth finish.
Esser wines are produced from the cool Central Coast Region of California and crafted from sustainably farmed vineyards of the Scheid family that realized the potential of the growing region over 40 years ago. These wines express the fruit, the climate, the terroir and water into a poetic expression of flavors long sought by wine connoisseurs from around the globe.
The well balanced fruit of Pommard and Dijon clones were harvested in the early morning hours and shipped immediately to the nearby crush pad. The clusters were triaged and de-stemmed before transferring into pre-chilled stainless steel tanks for cold soaking to extract flavor and color. The must was kept cool during the f irst couple of days while the cap was punched down and the juice pumped over twice a day before inoculation.
Pairs well with beef, veal, deer, venison, and poultry dishes.
