This dry wine, aged over the year in stainless steel vats, has a beautiful deep yellow color with green-gray reflections, and a beautiful crystalline shine. Depending on the vintage, this cuvée generally reveals a set of smoky and mineral notes, associated with more or less pronounced notes of white fruit on pear, white peach or nectarine, all wrapped in scents of dried fruit. toasted evoking hazelnut. he mouth is supple on the attack, and there are flavors of white fruits and citrus fruits, a nice tension and pleasant bitterness on the finish. The elegant and fresh finish evokes a compote of tangy and spicy white fruits.
The Bourillon family have been making wine at Rochecorbon, in the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, for generations. Domaine Bourillon Dorléans, founded in 1921 by Gaston Dorléans is located on the best hillsides of Rochecorbon.
Made of Chenin grapes, these 25-year-old vines sit in the 26 hectares of the Single Vineyard Montgouverne’s clay-limestone soils. After harvest, the grapes enter into temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks for both fermentation and maturation. Then, half of the cuvée is aged in oak barrels whilst the rest remains in the stainless-steel tanks.
Pairs well with grilled chicken, roasted lobster, poached fished, and grilled vegetables.
