The palate is medium‐bodied and quite straight, with good acidity and persistence. It feels like 2015 is a good vintage for the young wines.
El Castro de Valtuille Mencía Joven is also fermented in stainless steel, but spends a couple of months in oak vats before bottling. There are some herbal notes intermixed with wild berries that transmit freshness; although these grapes are always destemmed, the feeling is a little of a full cluster fermentation.
