Aromas of blackberry, plum, and ripe cherry are layered with notes of cedar, vanilla, and subtle spice. The palate reveals concentrated dark fruit supported by hints of cocoa and toasted oak. Medium to full-bodied with polished tannins, the wine shows excellent structure and balance. Fresh acidity adds lift and keeps the wine lively. The finish is long and smooth with lingering spice and dark fruit notes.
Viña Pedrosa is produced by Bodegas Hermanos Pérez Pascuas, one of the founding wineries of Ribera del Duero and among the most respected family estates in the region. Located in Pedrosa de Duero, the family has cultivated vineyards for generations, focusing on estate-grown Tempranillo from mature vines. Their philosophy emphasizes traditional winemaking techniques combined with modern precision to produce wines with depth, structure, and aging potential.
Fruit is sourced from estate vineyards planted with mature Tempranillo vines in limestone-rich soils. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures to preserve fruit purity. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in American and French oak barrels in accordance with Crianza classification requirements. Bottle aging further enhances integration and complexity.
Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled steak, or pork tenderloin. It also complements hearty stews, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses.
