Aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and blackberry lead the nose, layered with hints of cedar, tobacco, and sweet spice. The palate delivers concentrated dark fruit flavors balanced by notes of cocoa and toasted oak. Full-bodied with firm, polished tannins, the wine shows structure without heaviness. Fresh acidity provides lift and balance across the palate. The finish is long and persistent with lingering dark fruit and spice.
Kaiken was established in 2002 by renowned Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes, who expanded into Argentina to explore the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza. The Estate line represents the winery’s commitment to crafting fresh, approachable wines that highlight the natural vibrancy of the region. The Sauvignon Blanc–Semillon blend reflects Mendoza’s ability to produce crisp, aromatic whites with balance and character.
Fruit is sourced from selected high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, where warm days and cool nights promote slow, balanced ripening. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with careful temperature control to preserve fruit intensity. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for approximately 12 months to build complexity and structure. The style emphasizes depth, balance, and refined tannin integration.
Pairs exceptionally well with grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, or braised short ribs. It also complements aged cheeses and hearty dishes featuring roasted meats or rich sauces.
