Vibrant aromas of lemon, lime, and grapefruit, beautifully complemented by hints of white peach, jasmine, and flint. The clean, sharp mouthfeel is perfectly balanced by a smooth, round mid-palate, a result of the sur-lie aging process. This culminates in a refreshing, crisp finish. On the palate, the wine reveals layers of green apple, nectarine, and subtle notes of honeydew, all interwoven with a touch of minerality. The lively acidity enhances the overall structure, making each sip both invigorating and satisfying.
The Ghost Block Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from our oldest block in the MorgaenLee Vineyard, located in Yountville, Napa Valley. This property encompasses 30.25 acres, primarily planted with certified-organic, family-owned Sauvignon Blanc. The vines, planted in 1978, are Clone 1 grafted to St. George rootstock, and this block is dry-farmed. During harvest, we divide the block into three separate picks, each targeting different stages of maturity.
