This crisp and elegant wine begins with aromas of white flowers, fig, and stone fruit (ripe peach, Meyer lemon, tangerine) layered over delicate floral and citrus notes. On the palate the texture is refined and dry—with a refreshing mineral-driven finish and a nicely balanced interplay between fruit and acidity.
Lemelson Vineyards began as a dream — a dream to create a winery that celebrates innovation in technology, sustainability in agriculture, and tradition in winemaking. Eric Lemelson started Lemelson Vineyards with the intention of building something that would not only serve our consumers, but also the longevity of the pristine state that he calls home.
The production involved whole-cluster pressing of Pinot Noir at low pressure to avoid colour extraction, cold stainless steel fermentation to preserve purity of fruit, and about six months aging on lees.
Pairs well with grilled shellfish (e.g., scallops or prawns), light fish dishes with herb sauces, roast chicken with lemon-thyme, or mild goat cheeses.
