Tenuta Laramè is the agricultural estate of the Povero family. It embodies a single, contiguous vineyard area of 50 hectares, organically cultivated, on one of the highest hills of Roero, between Canale and Cisterna d’Asti. The first nucleus was purchased in 1948 by Bartolomeo Povero, which expanded the rows inherited from Francesco Povero, dating back to the 19th century. Laramè was the “stranom” of the Povero family: the nickname with which the villagers identified the members of the family, according to the Piedmontese custom of renaming friends and acquaintances. A name that, today, identifies the estate and that binds them even more intimately to the area where they were born and have decided to live.
