About Trapiche Vineyards
Like no other, we understand the strength of the viticulture in Argentina, and therefore specialize in obtaining the best from every acre to create unique and premium wines. Our vineyards encompass more than 2,470 acres of Argentine terroir, and we obtain grapes from more than 200 independent producers in the best wine-growing areas of Argentina.
Bio-dynamics is a meticulous approach that forbids the use of chemicals, herbicides, and fungicides; it aims for a balanced ecosystem, biodiversity and the recovery of the bacterial activity in soil. The only fertilizers allowed are vegetable and animal wastes from bio-dynamic farms.
This approach for vineyards assumes that the moon cycles and the planetary positions influence vine growth, similar to their influence on the tides. All of the work in our vineyards is planned taking into account the different moon phases and the stellar dynamics.
The vineyards planted in front of our iconic winery are managed entirely using this process, in line with our fundamental principle of “Constant Innovation and Diversity.” Not only does this help us grow extraordinary grapes, it also allows us to identify new techniques to create better wines year after year.
