Our Team

Dan was born in New Jersey and has lived in Minnesota, Illinois, and New York; and now is thrilled to be a part of the Vintage Imports Team at the Delaware Beaches. A high school teacher by education, he worked in the classroom for seven years before deciding it was time for a change. A Graduate of Columbia College Chicago, where in a Food and Culture seminar he wrote his first academic paper on wine back in 2008. Along with travels to Italy during his undergraduate years, he solidified a love of quality beverages, slow food, and good company. Former work experiences as a restaurant server, HR coordinator, and yoga teacher have shaped his awareness of creating space for moments of connection with clients and colleagues. Whether in the classroom, the dining room, or the yoga studio Dan has always held himself to a high standard of accountability and communication. Now fully immersed as the new guy in the Wine Business, he is excited that there is something new to learn every day, both in the field and through formal Wine Education programs. Currently, he holds WSET level 1, he aspires to continue through the levels. Outside of work, Dan enjoys getting outdoors, hiking, and going to the beach. An avid theatre person, he tries to catch as much of the Broadway and local theatre seasons as possible; and maybe even acting in a community show every now and again. Dan also enjoys reading, and writing and loves a good heated yoga class.
