In the glass, the wine is deep ruby with purple hues. On the nose, the wine is delicate with notes of cherry, vanilla, raw beef and herbs. On the palate, it is dry, structured and elegant with flavors of plum, ripe cherries, wild berries and a hint of spice, followed by a lengthy and smooth finish that begs for food.
Aia Vecchia is located deep in the Tuscan countryside between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci. This is an area where the favorable microclimate and ideally suited soils make possible the production of very high quality wines. The particular position of the vineyards provides the vines with both direct sunlight and sunlight reflected by the sea. This in general allows an early harvest.
