This dark ruby wine has aromas of black fruits with cocoa butter. It is ripe and juicy, fruity with notes of black cherry, cassis and a hint of spice with a smooth finish.
Prieto Picudo is a widely planted grape in Northern Spain and is often blended with other varietals. Prieto in Spanish means ‘dark color’, here making reference to the color the gape adds to a wine, Picudo refers to the pointy shape of the compact bunches.
The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyards, taking into consideration the acidity and alcohol level .The grapes are harvested in 14kg boxes, de‐stemmed and slightly pressed in order to extract the best must to make the maceration process more effective.
Pairs well with grilled red meat or lamb chops as well as any winter stew.
