In the glass, the wine pours a brilliant light ruby color with tawny highlights. The nose is hauntingly aromatic, emitting pristine aromas of red cherry, raspberry and ripe strawberry all underpinned by a delicate combination of spice and floral notes that effortlessly waft from the glass. Layered and elegant on the palate, the wine showcases loads of soft, satin tannins perfectly balanced by a brisk acidity and concentrated fruit flavors that deliver power and refreshment. The finish is stunning, delivering layer upon layer of complex flavors with incredible panache and depth.
Today, Albino Rocca is constantly searching for new ways to improve in the vineyard and the cellar, while also maintaining their deep roots of quality and terroir expression of the region. The family has vines in some of the most prestigious Crus of Barbaresco.
Made from 100% Nebbiolo, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel then aged in large German and Austrian oak casks for two years, resulting in a clean, pure and refined expression of Barbaresco.
Pairs well with beef, pasta, lamb, deer, or venison based dishes.
