The Estate

Rodaro is a family-owned estate in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an area renowned for producing some of Italy’s most expressive white wines. The winery emphasizes hillside vineyard sites influenced by both Alpine and Adriatic climates. Their Malvasia showcases the aromatic and textural qualities of this indigenous variety.

Wine Making

Grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards and harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve aromatics. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel to maintain freshness and varietal purity. A short period of lees contact enhances texture and mouthfeel. The approach emphasizes balance, aromatics, and regional identity.

Food Suggestions

This Malvasia pairs beautifully with seafood, particularly shellfish and grilled fish. It also complements vegetable dishes, risotto, and herb-driven cuisine. A strong pairing for Mediterranean and coastal-inspired menus.
