Reviews

This California Pinot Noir presents an inviting aroma of ripe red cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle hints of baking spices and the earthy essence of the forest floor. Vineyards in cooler climates contribute lively acidity and delicate red fruit notes of cherry and cranberry, while those in warmer, sun-kissed regions impart richness and depth, showcasing notes of ripe raspberry. Subtle nuances of vanilla and clove, a result of gentle oak aging, complement the ensemble. The outcome is an elegant, medium-bodied wine with silky tannins, offering refreshing complexity and finesse.

The Estate

Although the Bogle family has been farming since the 1800’s, it wasn’t until 1968 that the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle planted their first 20 acres of wine grapes in Clarksburg, California. Clarksburg is a small farming community nestled in the Sacramento Delta. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,000 acres of wine grapes in the Delta region. Bogle Winery is currently producing 100,000 cases of wine.

Wine Making

Bogle winemakers have sourced fruit from the best growing regions in California for the varietal. The terroirs of the cool Russian River Valley, coastal Monterey hills and the unique Clarksburg Delta all grow fruit of character and distinction. Combined, the resulting wine is an elegant, classic Pinot Noir.
