With aromas of Maraschino cherries and a tannic mouthfeel with notes of chocolate, cherries, leather, and tobacco.
Deeply rooted in the pioneering spirit of Paso Robles Wine Country, Broken Earth wines are born from heritage, hard work and careful stewardship of our vineyard. Land that once sustained generations of cattle ranchers and then visionary grape growers is now home to over 700 acres of vines on Paso Robles’ east side. Our wines stand as a bold expression of this place, each with their own story to tell.
The fruit was harvested over a period of 16 days commencing in October 2017, with dates depending on clonal and site differences to ensure all components are at their peak. Following fermentation, the wine was transferred to second use French and Hybrid oak barrels for 15 months on average before blending and preparation for bottling.
Pairs well with rich red meats, like ribeye, prime rib, and roast beef.
