Visually, the Vermentino Praidis stands out with its bright straw-yellow color, enhanced by delicate greenish reflections, a promise of vivacity and freshness. The bouquet is a symphony of aromas, predominantly white fleshed fruits like peach and green apple, enriched with notes of Mediterranean herbs and a floral touch, lending an elegant refinement to the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine reveals a sparkling freshness, supported by a balanced acidity leading to a persistent and savory finish, typical of Vermentino.
That the Sarrabus area has great winemaking potential has been clear since 1959 when the most important winemakers in the area chose to found Cantina Castiadas with the support of the Agrarian Reform Agency, with the aim of producing, vinifying and promoting the area’s native vines.
Grown in the sunny and breezy areas of southeastern Sardinia, the Vermentino is hand-picked at the peak of its ripeness, ensuring the utmost expression of freshness and aromatic intensity. The vinification in stainless steel tanks is aimed at preserving these intrinsic qualities, maintaining the authenticity and purity of the fruit.
Pairs well with fish, poultry, and goat cheese.
