Bouquet de Monbrison is the ‘second wine’ of Château Monbrison. Château Monbrison originally formed half of Château Desmirail in the nineteenth century before coming into the hands of Monsieur de Monbrison. In 1922 Robert Meacham Davis bought the property and his children and grand children are the present owners. Violets and rose petals, red fruits, cassis, earthy with black pepper.
Château Nénin’s vineyards grow on a single block of land with the exception of one plot. In Pomerol, where it is rare for an estate to exceed 10 hectares, Château Nénin’s vineyard is considered very large, with 32 hectares of vines in production.
The Bouquet is a keen wine with red fruit aromas and soft and candied tannins, allied to a nice freshness that offer an ageing potential up to 10 years.
Pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, venison, and poultry dishes.
