The wine is a red-purple color enhanced by a beautiful shine. Toasted aromas marry with black fruit flavors supported by candied notes revealing a beautiful maturity. The palate is filled with a broad harmony of silky tannins, red fruit, and toasted notes with a hint of sweetness.
For over 100 years, the Queyrens family has preserved and passed on its know-how and its passion for wine from generation to generation. They own several Château in Bordeaux, such as Château du Pin-Franc, and Château des Graves du Tich in Sainte Croix du Mont. They purchased Château Pilet in 1965.
Traditional methods of winemaking combined with modern and efficient equipment are the hallmark of this estate. Alcoholic fermentation is performed in thermo-regulated vats for 3 to 4 weeks, which allows a full extraction of aromas and tannins. After 12 months of oak barrel ageing, this wine is clarified, assembled and bottled at the estate.
Pairs well with beef, veal, deer, venison, and poultry dishes.
