Red garnet color. Nose of cherry, plum, mirabelle and blackberry, with elegant touches of wood. In mouth, red ripe fruits. Vivid wine with a nice freshness and depth.
Chateau Toulifaut belongs to the Bareige family since the early 1970’s, as well as 2 other properties in Saint-Emilion. Christelle, the elder daughter, is now running the estate. The chateau is situated in front of Chateau La Tour Figeac, on the other side of the river which separates the appellation Pomerol from the appellation Saint-Emilion grand cru.
Traditional vinification in stainless steel vats. Ageing in vats during 5 months and in oak barrels during 14 to 16 months.
Pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, venison, and poultry dishes.
