Pale pink in color with an expressive nose of fruit and rose flowers. On the palate, it is lively, fresh and presents a typical roundness of its very marked soil.
Known as the garden of France, this long valley stretches East and West and has different terroirs and microclimates along the way. This estate is approximately 35 years old. The Pinot Noir is grown from vines 50 to 70 years old, the soil is a mix of clay and clay/limestone.
All of these 31 parcels are tended, harvested and vinified separately and the utmost care and respect for the environment is used in the growing process. The estate is located at the northern tip of the village of Bue just east of Sancerre. The Rose is made from younger Pinot Noir vines 15-30 years of age on 100% clay-silica soils. These vineyards are high density plantings of about 8,000 vines per hectare and are sustainably farmed.
It is an excellent complement to summer fare: garden grown asparagus, tomatoes and mixed green salads.
