Sourced from the Pelissa Vineyards in Oakville, this single-vineyard Zinfandel begins with warm spice aromas on the nose; at first sip, your senses are met with a spectrum of red and dark fruits, black cherries, dried figs, and raspberries. Tannins are supple and round with a remarkably balanced, elegant, mouthwatering finish. This wine is undoubtedly ready for a glass, but if you can, age it for a couple of years, you will be rewarded for your patience.
These 25-year-old vines are planted in the 56.5-acre Pelissa Vineyard, which is located behind our tasting room in the Oakville appellation of Napa Valley. This 11-acre block of Zinfandel is head-trained, cane-pruned, and dry-farmed to achieve optimum vine balance.
The fruit produced from these vines are characterized by small-medium sized berries with deep color extraction. As with all of our properties, this vineyard is family owned and certified organic.
Pairs well with barbecued meats, roasted lamb, and Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia.
