Very pale pink. Perfumed aromas of red berries, orange peel and jasmine. Clean and juicy on the palate, with vibrant flavors of red berries, minerals, licorice and botanical herbs. Finishes lively and long.
Il Palazzino is, inexplicably, one of the most under the radar estates in all of Chianti Classico. Alessandro and Andrea Sderci craft, rich, large-scaled Chianti Classicos that capture all of the natural intensity of Monti in Chianti, where the estate is located. Readers who have not tasted these wines owe it to themselves to do so.
The Rosato is produced with grapes harvested at a precocious stage in order to obtain a fresh, pleasantly sour and fruity wine. Only a few bunches are coosen, so as to leave the remaining fruits onto the vines, to be later used to produce high-quality red wines after another 15-20 days of maturation.
Pairs well with shellfish, poultry dishes, lean fish, mild and soft cheeses.
