Vintage Description

The “Chameroy” opens with aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus blossom, accented by subtle white floral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and crisp, offering flavors of lemon zest, orchard fruit, and a touch of stone fruit. Bright acidity provides lift and precision. The texture is clean and balanced without oak influence. The finish is fresh, lightly mineral, and elegantly dry.

The Estate

Maison Louis Latour is one of Burgundy’s most historic and respected négociant houses, founded in 1797 and still family owned. The “Chameroy” Mâcon-Villages represents the house’s commitment to sourcing high-quality Chardonnay from the Mâconnais, emphasizing freshness and regional typicity. The wine is crafted to showcase classic white Burgundy character in an accessible, polished style.

Wine Making

Chardonnay grapes are sourced from select Mâcon-Villages vineyards and harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve acidity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to maintain fruit purity and aromatic clarity. The wine is aged briefly on fine lees to enhance texture while remaining unoaked. The approach emphasizes balance, freshness, and regional expression.

Food Suggestions

This Mâcon-Villages pairs beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish, and roast chicken. Its acidity also complements salads, vegetable-forward dishes, and creamy risotto. A versatile white Burgundy ideal for by-the-glass programs and classic bistro cuisine.
