Clos Martinet always has a very fine structure, it is made of fine and delicate tannins. The nose is voluptuous but in the mouth, it speaks to one of the elegance, the delicacy of the tannins and a final acidity and tension, always with a certain feeling of fragility, a certain tension.
The winery Mas Martinet was founded in 1986 by José Luís Pérez, oenologist, researcher, teacher, and one of the main characters in the revival of Priorat.
In 2000, Mas Martinet chose to use only organic agriculture, to recover varieties that were almost extinct, to make single-vineyard wines, and to innovate with advice programmes and more efficient and sustainable production processes.
Pairs well with white and red meats.
