Vintage Description

The Rutherford Dust Fiano pours a light golden-straw hue. On the nose, it greets you with a fragrant bouquet of honeysuckle, jasmine, white peach, and soft sandalwood over a citrus-lift of lemon and lime zest. On the palate, it offers a medium-weight texture with bright acidity and flavors of pear, white nectarine, green apple, and a hint of tropical melon, layered with a crisp mineral thread and a subtle herbal note (think light bay leaf or thyme) on the finish. The length is clean and refreshing, carrying a touch of citrus pith and saline-mineral nuance — a profile that balances fruit, acidity and earthiness.

Fiano grape blend.

The Estate

Mark Neal is Napa Valley’s organic and Biodynamic® farming trailblazer and the founder and owner of Neal Family Vineyards. After purchase two other vineyards in Napa Valley starting at the age of 20, he stumbled on a unique property in the Howell Mountain AVA.

Wine Making

In terms of production, Neal Family cultivates the vines under organic/regenerative farming methods at their Rutherford Dust estate. The grapes are harvested, gently pressed, and vinified with care to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity — essential to expressing Fiano’s natural character in a Napa climate.
