The color of this wine is truly immortal. Its rich, dark color goes on and on and on! The aromas of big, blackberry jam, ripe strawberries, dark berry medley, and orange blossom honey merge to put your olfactory senses into a new dimension. The palate is wrapped in a mysterious, velvety layered mix of sweet blackberries, strawberries, and blueberry compote followed by a healthy dose of chocolate on the finish. The rich, mouth-filling character that immediately jumps out at you is that of mom’s homemade baked blackberry pie! The wine has moderate oaky tannins and juicy acidity.
In 1992, Peirano Estate Vineyards began bottling and selling wine using their estate grown grapes. Until this point, Lance Randolph, fourth generation Peirano, produced wine simply for his enjoyment and that of his close family and friends.
After HAND-PICKING into half ton bins for the most delicate transporting of the fruit, the grapes were lightly crushed into the tank for fermentation.
Pairs well with beef, lamb, and poultry dishes.
