This Chardonnay opens with aromas of green apple, ripe pear and hints of juicy peach and lemon. The palate is elegant yet modern: it offers crisp fruit, a touch of minerality, and refined texture from a few hours of skin contact that adds depth.
Located in the heart of Italy’s Alto Adige region, the Peter Zemmer Estate was founded in 1928 and is still family-run in the third generation. The estate’s vineyards span an impressive altitude range—from approximately 220 m to 1,030 m above sea level—giving the winery access to a wide variety of microclimates and soil types.
The production begins with hand-harvested grapes grown on the valley floor around Cortina s.s.d.v., trained on Guyot trellises, and vinified with soft pressing and controlled temperature fermentation at ~19 °C in stainless steel.
Pairs well with light to medium dishes or enjoyed solo as a sophisticated aperitif.
