Reviews

This Chardonnay opens with aromas of green apple, ripe pear and hints of juicy peach and lemon. The palate is elegant yet modern: it offers crisp fruit, a touch of minerality, and refined texture from a few hours of skin contact that adds depth.

Chardonnay grape blend.

The Estate

Located in the heart of Italy’s Alto Adige region, the Peter Zemmer Estate was founded in 1928 and is still family-run in the third generation. The estate’s vineyards span an impressive altitude range—from approximately 220 m to 1,030 m above sea level—giving the winery access to a wide variety of microclimates and soil types.

Wine Making

The production begins with hand-harvested grapes grown on the valley floor around Cortina s.s.d.v., trained on Guyot trellises, and vinified with soft pressing and controlled temperature fermentation at ~19 °C in stainless steel.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with light to medium dishes or enjoyed solo as a sophisticated aperitif.

"This wine has a broad and colorful palette of fruit aromas; juicy, flavorful and long-lasting. Greenish-yellow in color, the bouquet is delicate with notes of banana and melon. The palate is dry, fresh and lively with a pleasing fullness."
