Vintage Description

Bright aromas of dark berry fruits and a slight reduction allows this wine to evolve beautifully in the glass.  There is an intensity of dark red fruit in the core that compliments a sweet elderberry finish.  This wine is bold, yet delicate.

Pinot Noir grape blend.
This wine contains allergens, sulfites.
The Estate

Marc Piro knew he wanted to be a winemaker when he was 9 years old. He sat in the crowded backseat of his family’s beige Mercedes diesel station wagon as they drove through the vineyards of Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley, and, inspired, he announced, “Mom, I want a vineyard.” Her response was curt, “Well, then, get a good job.”

Wine Making

The pinot noir grapes were destemmed and fermented in open top fermenter for 14 days on skin. Malolactic fermentation in 40% New Oak, 40% Neutral Oak, and 20% Once used French Oak. 21 months total of barrel aging, unfiltered in production.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with white meat, grilled fish, and pizza.
