The Teliani Vineyards Kakheti Saperavi has an impressively deep purple to nearly black/red, reflective of Saperavi’s teinturier nature and a ripe bouquet featuring sour cherry, blackberry, raspberry, wild berry, and cassis notes. With a medium to full-bodied with crunchy dark fruit flavors, vivid acidity, and firm, grippy tannins and a trendy, tart yet clean finish with structured grip and persistence.
Teliani Valley is a winery making some of the most vibrant, different, fresh, mind altering wines in the world. And doing it with such joy, hope and soul. This is the wine of Georgia – a land blessed with more than 500 grape varieties, a geography and a climate that is God given when it comes to vines, and an approach to winemaking that is at the core of who we are.
Hand-harvested and underwent a 7–10 day skin fermentation period, capturing deep color and structure. Aged mostly stainless steel aging to preserve fruit integrity; some expressions may include oak finishing, though basic “Winery 97” is generally un-oaked.
Pairs well with grilled or braised meats, burgers, sausages, lamb, game, and even cured meats or mature cheeses.
