Trefethen Family Vineyards’ “S.I.N.” (Summer In Napa) Rosé of Pinot Noir is a popular, limited-release, estate-grown rosé known for bright, fruity flavors of strawberry, watermelon, and citrus, with crisp acidity and a refreshing finish, embodying a sunny Napa day perfect for light meals or sipping by the pool, and is highly sought after for its quality and seasonal appeal.
Trefethen is a multi-generational, family-owned estate winery in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District. Founded in 1968 when the Trefethen family purchased a historic 19th-century gravity-flow winery originally built in 1886, the estate today spans hundreds of vineyard acres devoted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and other classic varietals — all grown, vinified, and aged under the family’s roof.
Trefethen makes S.I.N. Rosé exclusively from estate-grown Pinot Noir grapes from their own vineyards in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Upon harvest, the Pinot Noir grapes are pressed and the juice is kept in contact with the skins for just about 12 hours — enough to extract a delicate pink hue but avoid heavy tannins or deep color.
Pairs well with grilled shrimp, seared scallops, or herbed salmon, where the wine’s citrus lift complements the natural sweetness of seafood. Lighter summer dishes like watermelon and feta salad, citrus-marinated chicken, tomato-basil bruschetta, or caprese.
