Hermanos Pérez Pascuas, best known for their Viña Pedrosa wines, is a prestigious family-owned estate located in Pedrosa de Duero, in the heart of Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León, Spain. The Pérez Pascuas family has deep agricultural roots in the region, but the modern winery was formally established in 1980, shortly before Ribera del Duero achieved official DO status in 1982. From the beginning, the family focused on estate-grown fruit, helping shape Ribera del Duero into one of Spain’s most respected red wine regions.
Winemaking at Pérez Pascuas is centered on traditional methods combined with careful modern control. Grapes are harvested from estate vineyards and fermented with attention to preserving fruit intensity while building structure. Aging typically takes place in American and French oak barrels, allowing the wines to develop layers of spice, tobacco, and dark fruit complexity while maintaining balance and longevity. The style is classic Ribera del Duero — structured, powerful, and built for aging.
All grapes come from their own 333 acres of vineyards: 90% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. A great number of the vines are over twenty-five years old and grow on privileged soils.
The vineyards are located just outside of Roa, in Pedrosa de Duero in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The terrain is smooth, and the soils are clay calcareous. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 2,624 feet above sea level. This climate is Continental, with an Atlantic influence, and an average year-round temperature of 52°F, with an annual rainfall of about 19 inches.
